Well, it’s ABOUTTIME I get this update out to all of you! We have been busy
getting the auction items shipped to all of those who purchased them, as well
as the first few weeks of summer have been a whirlwind with the girlies and doing fun summer stuff! A few pics ----> :)

Silent Auction – After all fees (donation fees, shipping, etc) we raised a
little over 700$!! Thank you to all who covered the donation and shipping fees in
your payment. It wasn’t necessary but every
little bit is a HUGE help to us!
We still have a lot of good items left and some that expire soon. We have
decided to run the auction from Friday to Friday, reducing the starting bids
each week until we sell all (or most!) of the items. We will start the next auction this
Friday July 18 at 7a.m. We will have a “buy now” price as well as a new
starting bid. Kind of like Ebay, but with much cooler stuff! And a wayy better
cause!

Poker/Fun Run – was cancelled due to some changes at Fleet Feet. We are bummed but understand things/personnel
change and it’s a busy time of year. Perhaps we can pick it up later in the
year –depending on their schedule and resources. We are also looking to organize a fun run in
Portland late summer or early fall, so stay tuned for that!
Our Vacation Rental – has been full all but a few days each month the last
several months! We have two nights available this month and 6 in August at this
point. I think September is also ½ full already. I finally got all of the financial “things”
figured out for this venture and can safely say (I think!) that we have covered
all of our
start up costs, have a way to calculate our operating costs each
month, as well as pay the county/state transient taxes each month/quarter. Whew!
The accountant can figure out the rest. ;) That said, we can now truly calculate the profits we can put towards
the adoption
Who knew this would be soo complicated?!
Overall we are about 22% to goal. Thank
you all SOO very much for participating and making this journey just a little
less stressful for us!

Whew! I'm tired just looking at all of these. How many weeks of summer are left?? We will need a vacation come September :)
